Is the JCP fitness center available to the public at a membership fee or is it only for JCP residents?

I called on it once and the fee was outrageous for non-residents. Like 2100.00 a year for the family or something. Crazy... Id rather buy Disney and Universal passes!

Actually, here it is straight from their CDD Rule book:

The Annual Pass Holder fee for non-residents is:
a) $2,100 Annual Family Pass for use of the Swim & Fitness, Multi-Purpose, Sports Plex and Tennis
Courts.
b) $1,200 Annual Family Pass for use of the Tennis Courts only.
c) $1,300 Annual Individual Pass for use of the Swim & Fitness, Multi-Purpose, Sports Plex and Tennis
Courts.
d) $150 Annual Youth Pass, for Tennis Programs/Classes only.
e) $800 Annual Individual Pass for use of the Tennis Courts only.
f) $400 Seasonal Pass for use of the Aquatic Complex only.
g) $180 Annual Pass plus all registration, coaching fees for Swim Team practice only. Includes Senior/Masters Program. Masters Program users pay a monthly fee in addition to Annual Pass.
h) $271 Seasonal Recreational Swim Team Pass for use at the Aquatic Complex only for the duration of the Swim Team Practice Season ONLY.
i) $1,020 Annual Family Pass, Group Fitness, classes only.

Oh wow! Thank you for this information! The $1,020 for Annual Family Pass, Group Fitness, classes only -- not good towards using their gym equipment, only classes?

Im not sure, it sounds like its the classes only. The 2100.00 one says fitness included.

Here is their website: Julington Creek Plantation CDD
it has all their contact information.

and I found the rates and stuff under the CDD tab, then rules and regulations.

So is it cheaper if you are a resident? Where do you have to live to be considered a resident?

You have to live in Julington Creek Plantation and you can go for free, well... let me re-phrase, nothings free. You have to live in one of the CDD communities in JCP. The CDD fees are added to your property taxes annually. There are a couple neighborhoods in JCP that are not CDD communities. (The Greens is one, and I believe Timber Trace is another, plus maybe 2 more. They are the older JCP neighborhoods in the Plantation) As homeowners, they have the benefit of no CDD fee and cheaper property taxes, but no use of the amenity center unless they want to pay non-resident fees for it.

The CDD fees in JCP are like 800.00-900.00 per year. They pay these fees whether they use the amenity center or not. CDD fees are mandatory and are common in many neighborhoods (The CDD is not the HOA fee, that is seperate)

$830 is what we paid the last two years. Won't know this year's assessment until they budget.
