If it's Memphis Bar B Q you like, you should try Mojo's.

fsquid, How does Mojo's stack up to what you're used to in Memphis?

For authentic Florida Bar B Q, try Cracker. And you get a show from the owner, free of charge.

You ask 100 people, and you'll get 100 answers about Bar B Q.

If it's beef BBQ you like, then Texas and KC are worth a try. If it's pork based BBQ, then Memphis is the way to go. For vinegar based BBQ, go with North Carolina.

Beauty is in the eye (or mouth) of the beholder.

Dean and Deluca had the best salads ever.....and I'm a guy and not usually into the salad thing. One day BBQ..the next a salad just to make me feel like I'm not always a flesh eating neanderthal . With the location you mentioned you would be a quick drive from either Nocatee, ( about 15 minutes from where I live in Coastal Oaks) and Durbin. Marsh Landing would be a longer haul for sure...twice as long plus a little if I had to guess. I also miss Sherridans Frozen Custard..... I think all I did in KC is eat.
Oh, oops! I read that but didn't put two and two together!

I could go on and on about food here! haha Did you ever eat at La Bodega? It's my fav!

We still haven't made a decision. The kids and I might stay here awhile and my husband go. If we could rent, we would but we have a 4 dogs so I'd say that's a no go. Are you even allowed 4 dogs in Ponte Vedra? i tried to find the bylaws but no luck.

numerous times ..... great tapas .....there was even a great food spot in the basement of a Unitarian "church" on the plaza. All vegetarian , and I actually liked it .
I would bet that you could find a rental even with 4 dogs in this market. As long as you put up enough of a deposit , people are more concerned about having good renters . Maybe I can rent you mine and we can move back to KC for a couple years. Ha. You might want to say you have three dogs , as 4 might put people off. I doubt anyone would ever come over and count your dogs.

No wonder you think everything you type is gospel.
I have eaten at the Rendezvous and it was OK, but nothing I would go back for.
that's your problem, you went to the tourist trap. I would hope that my tongue in cheek post would come across as one when I compared myself to Jesus. Everyone of the BBQ capitals love to debate this (KC, Carolina, Memphis, Texas). Just all in fun.

you know, everyone here has been trying to get me to the Mojo's. Which location is the best?

Beef is not BBQ, let's just get that settled on this board!

I was up there about 5 years ago at the Memphis St. Jude Classic.
We went with a group of locals who evidently don't know where to go either.

good god. The Germantown Commissary is right by the TPC. It isn't in my top 5, but certainly better than the Rendezvous. Please let these "locals" know that I'm calling them out, that is a damn disservice.

Mojo #4 is our choice as it's less than 1/2 mile from the house, and we can walk there.
Mojo BBQ - Mojo Bar-B-Que, Mojo Smokehouse, Mojo Kitchen and Blues Bar, Number 4, and

I see you’ve set aside this special time to humiliate yourself in public.

We like the Mojo's on the corner of San Jose and University. Good Memphis Blues BarBQ.

But, I have to agree with Madcap about beef BAR B Q.

Although I personally prefer pork BBQ, we lived in the Texas Hill Country for a few years, and you can get some great beef brisket BBQ there.

Like I said, it's all in the mouth of the beholder.
