Do your research as there are quite a few homes severely underwater in that community, it also has quite a few rentals and foreclosures.

Where will you be working (commute)

From friends I have that live there. You should be able to research that easily.

It is a little isolated there as far as shopping, you need to head back east on A1A or hop back on 95 to Rivercity for necessity's. What about the Yellowbluff subdivision on 17?

Timber Creek Is a bit of a drive for working at Southside but it is right at 95.

Good luck

Default Love Yulee

I have lived in Yulee for 37 years, moving from Jacksonville, Florida. I have seen it go from a 2 traffic light hick town to one of the best places to live.
I live around the Blackrock Road area & can go to Publix, Home Depot, Target, Kohl's, Chili's, Lowes, TJ Maxx, and soon a Ross and Barbaritos...and Wal-Mart, Winn Dixie plus a lot more. I can take yoga classes or go to a chiropractor. There are a few great independent restaurants .....El Potro and Lanna Thai just to name my 2 favorites! There is still a lot of building going on. I knew some people in Timber Creek and they wished that they had mover further East. Not on Amelia Island, but closer to the Blackrock/ Chester area.
I have a neighbor that works at Shands in Jax. & he said the commute is quicker from here then it was from the Southside in Jax.
I guess it all depends on work...a lot of service industry here. The Ritz and Plantation on the Island always seem to be hiring.
