I'm not sure where 32208 is, but if someone where to open a quality pizza shop on Main Street between 1st & 12th Street, it would do amazing. That neighborhood is desperate for a local pizza joint.

Zip 32208 goes from Panama Park west to Sherwood Forest and from Brentwood north to the Trout River. Just 2-3 miles north of Springfield.

Be very leary of certain franchises. Some are set up for certain failure for the franchisees. There is an Italian one in particular and I cannot think of the name.

Same with Quiznos.

Vocellis Pizza! That's it!

Yeah, that was sorta my point.

In all fairness, the best or second-best slice in St. Louis was a regional chain called 'Dewey's Pizza'. Fantastic pies from that place. Battling them for first was independent 'Pi' however they specialized in big-honking Chicago-style thick crusts and a lot of their menu tasted kind of the same... a one-trick pony but it was a pretty good trick.

We've tried a bunch of places down here and haven't found something that quite compares to either of those yet however Mellow Mushroom sounds like a favorite that we haven't got to hit yet.

Don't believe Dewey's was around when I lived in St Louis, but my favorite pizza there was at Balducci's Winefest Restaurant in Creve Coure.

We found a new place(to us) in Riverside the other night that was really good called;
Carmines Pie House.

I'll have to check out Picasso's. We liked St. Louis style once in a while. Our favorite back in STL was a regional chain called Cecil Whittakers. Little pricey but better cheese than most.
