We are originally from South FL (Ft. Lauderdale area) and moved to Charlotte, NC about 8 years ago. We LOVED the atmosphere in south Florida but now we have a 7 and 8 yr old who attend Catholic school and are looking to relocate back to FL. We have friends in the Wellington area who can't say enough great things about it, but we are entertaining looking further north in the PVB area. My husband LOVES to play golf and we are both Gator fans.
We want a family atmosphere in the same age range as us (late 30's to 40's) within a solid economically stable area. We are looking for 4+bedroom around $350-400.
Any suggestions on where to start in PVB??? Or better yet, where to STAY AWAY from?

Thanks in advance for your help!

We just moved from Wellington in February. We lived there for 15 years. We love it here in PV. It's not as crowded as it was in palm beach county.
Try Nocatee. Lovely communitee!!

Agree with sweetannec, Definitely check out the Nocatee area! It is Ponte Vedra, not Ponte Vedra Beach, but the beach is only 10 minutes away. Schools are fabulous, neighborhoods are great, people are lovely - and A LOT of people (ourselves included) in your age range. We have four kids (ages 3 to 10) and have just moved from Jacksonville proper out to this area. It was a HUGE decision for us to move, but we are so happy that we did! We have an amazing house (6 bedrooms in the middle of your price range). You can defintely find a great house within your budget range - and everyone we have met has been so down to earth and friendly. While there are no golf course in Nocatee proper, they are all around us. Your husband could play somewhere different every weekend (which MIGHT be a negative in your book!). Palmer Catholic is a great Catholic school right down the road from Nocatee, however, if you are open to public school, our public school is amazing!!! This is our first year in the St. John's county school system and we are blown away at how good it is compared to where we have come from. North East Florida in general is filled with Gator fans, however I will say, that Nocatee does have quite a bit of football diversity compared to where we lived intown in Jacksonville where just about EVERYONE around us was a Gator. Good luck with your decision!
