Our crime rate is a lil bit higher than the public knows because our slick sheriff will not officially call a homicide a homicide until he wants which makes the homicide rate a ghost stat, you know to throw of the fact that there is a real problem here, and if the sheriff would put these cops in prevent mode instead
of react mode and take there ass out of these cars and make them do some foot patrols it would be less crime but they are afraid to walk the streets like normal people have to do everyday but they have the super hero belt with the gun and toys. Think about that.

Agreed.

Some cops are scared to walk the street, and some people are scared of basic grammar.

Just kidding. I really do agree with what you're saying. Police foot patrols have long been proven to reduce crime, and to help build rapport with normal citizens.

But, that train of thought has only been around for about 30-40 years, so Jax will need to wait a bit longer, before it reaches us.......

This doesn't surprise me. This is one more reason to relocate to another city. I have found Jacksonville to be a dirty, trashy, ugly, psychotically conservative, religiously fanatical city with a sky-high crime rate, no cultural outlets, and exceedingly few intelligent, progressive-minded people.
