Check it out:

ESPN: NFL sources say Tim Tebow going to Jaguars a

People are lining up on all sides of this issue. I definitely like the idea. All the guy wants is a chance. Whenever he get it, he usually makes the best of it. After what happened in Denver and NY, you gotta root for him. He'll definitely make it interesting, that's for sure! I can't wait to see what happens.

It appears ESPN can't make up it's mind

ESPN to limit coverage of New York Jets QB Tim Tebow - NFL.com

With injuries, GM, positions not accounted for and coaching staff concerns it would most likely be a bigger distraction having Tebow in Jacksonville compared to NY. He would be a draw........but isn't that what the
Jets tried.

The local sports talk shows here in New England gave the Jaguars a lot of credit for their play today....the Jags took it to the end. Seemed like a lot of great effort today on the Jags part.

The Jets didn't get Tebow to draw fans--they sell out all of the time. The Jags would be getting him to draw fans.

And maybe because no matter what people believe, he has a winning record as a starting NFL quarterback. Unlike any of the Jaguars current quarterbacks!

Whether he will do well here or not the Jaguars have a lot of decisions to make going into 2013. The puzzles of the offense and defense need to be put together, the problem is we have so many pieces of the puzzle. Those players who have not been season starters have really shown us something this year due to playing for the injured starters.

If we pick up Tebow which quarterback do you drop?

If you make any changes to the coaching staff or GM after picking up Tebow you are tying the hands of the new staff.

I am not against picking him up it is just there is so much work in progress to be done with this team!

It is great to fill seats with a hometown hero who has done well, but the Jaguars have not thrown themselves behind a quarterback in a while, it has been like trying on shoes.

Good God. Just another example of a terrible decision, on the part of the Jags.

No wonder we haven't been relevant in the NFL, for years.

Tebow is terrible. He'd be lucky to make it in the Canadian League, much less the NFL. (which BTW, is where he's going to end up)

Come on people. Face it. If he wasn't a former Gator QB, and if he wasn't a religious fanatic, no one would care.

While I agree he doesn't seem to be a very good QB, you can't deny that the kid wins at every level. That's what counts.

More importantly, because he was a Gator--and from the area--he will draw people to the games. This is the first thing the Jags need to do--become popular with the locals. If they have people coming to the games, things start to turn around for the team because they have more money to play with (through all of the extra $$ which come with a bigger fan base). This allows them to go after better players and makes it more likely better players would want to come here. Why would you want to come here if you're a top guy? Other than the great weather, this is a HORRIBLE NFL town. More interest from the fans helps to change this.

So the decision to bring him here goes way beyond whether he is (or isn't ) a good QB. This is about survival for the team (quite frankly). How long do you think they'll keep the team here and continue to NOT draw interest from fans in the area before they decide to move them somewhere else?

For the present time being this will be a college football town. Gator, Bulldog gear is all I see at work, and this amongst several hundred people. I hardly see any Jaguar gear on people.

Here in the Rhode Island area, win or lose, Patriots and Red Sox gear is usually worn until it is in tatters.

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE

Each of those teams (Pats & Sox) have won multiple World Championships/Series. If the Jags ever won "anything" at all, whether the Super Bowl, Conference, Division Championship or even more than 2 - 3 regular season games. I believe people here would start to wear their gear more often also.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO EVERYONE ALSO!

This makes absolute sense. I also think that the reason some people don't like Tebow is more personal than having anything to do with his ability as a QB but they will never admit it.
