I live in Orlando, but hearing that there is more development within the urban core of Jax makes me happy/excited i hope to see it as maybe a Austin or a Charlotte in years to come.

I dont really consider Riverside, Springfield, San Marco as Downtown neighborhoods, Maybe Lavilla, but not those 3. Derkeeville also has a lot of potential as a historic area but I guess too many black people live there for it to be considered.

If it becomes attractive due to its proximity to downtown, then people will come and re-gentrify it and push the blacks out.

Why would black people being in an area make it not considerable to be a historic area? Theres blacks in Springfield and Riverside.

Yes yes I know, but its a lot more mixed

I see Kahn helped to buy the Laura Trio & Barnett Bank, I read the news on this came here to see if it was being chatted about. All I see it Nocatee this and Durbin Crossing that...I grew up in Jacksonville and have no clue what these places are, or why their are so many threads about these places. Not really enough threads about the city itself we seem to talk about the suburbs more around here.

I think you just predicted something that will actually happen. Once Springfield hits its peak, DerkeeVille is next for new shinyness lol.
