I'm planning to move to Jax sometime this year (within the next 6 months). While I'd love to keep my current car another year (what can I say? I'm being a little cheap - I haven't had a car payment in over 6 years.) I will definitely need to replace it within a year.
Since I'm moving to FL (ok, and because I'm at midlife lol) I'm thinking I want to buy a fun little convertible when I'm there. But I'm wondering where would it be best to buy the new car - here in KS (sales tax just under 8% plus personal property tax - in KS you can finance the sales tax with the car note) or there in FL next year? What are the tax rates in FL? Can you include the sales tax in the car note? Is there personal property tax on cars there?
Anything else I should consider?
Thanks in advance!

Thanks, Pinetreecity! So if I'm looking at this right, there is no personal property tax on vehicles? Awesome! That is a savings of several hundred bucks right there!
