Well, for one thing, I was giving MY opinion, which means its impossible for me to wrong . I'm not just talking about a school's test scores, I'm going off of personal experiences of family and friends (amount of bullying, involved parents, etc.). Also, I'm comparing Jupiter and St. John's, not PV, since I live in St. John's.

This thread is about Ponte Vedra. Ponte Vedra is in St. John's County. Besides, what could your point possibly be? Are you saying there are schools in your part of St. John's that are rated 12 or 13 on a 10 point scale?

To rate Jupiter schools a "3" is bizarre. Jupiter is a destination in South Florida PRIMARILY BECAUSE OF ITS SCHOOLS. People who don't care about schools generally prefer to live closer to the action in places like Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, etc.

Well, sure, if your only choices are Miami, Ft. Lauderdale and Jupiter, then move to Jupiter for the schools! But we looked at the entire state when we made our choice, and chose St. Johns for the schools.

Maybe I'm being too harsh on Jupiter's schools, and I will officially change my ranking (please alert the press) to a 7 or 8? I don't have experience in any really bad school districts, so compared to the rest of the world, I'm sure its a great school system. I don't mean to bash Jupiter either! I have times when I miss it greatly, it is a beautiful place to live, just ask Michael Jordan & Tiger Woods!!!

You could ask MJ or TW, except their children don't go to school here

PV is a suburb of Jacksonville - about 25 min into downtown. It's a "newer" area, primarily made up of Nocatee development and a few other neighborhoods. At this point, not a lot of commercial development, but a short drive from Ponte Vedra Beach (different zip code) and the Avenues mall area. Very family oriented, mostly newer homes, great schools.

When my wife and I decided to move to Florida, our number one concern was schools. We have a 4 and 3 yr old, so we searched for the best schools. Right off the Florida Department of Education website https://app2.fldoe.org/Ranking/Districts/ it was an obvious choice. So once we found where the best Florida schools were, we went to see the area and we fell in love. No reason to look any further. We purchased in Nocatee and coming from long island NYn it is as close to paradise as we could find. I know nothing of Jupiter, but ill tell you, nowhere in my searches of best places to raise a family in Florida did I see it listed.

Choose Ponte Vedra ... the atmosphere on Jupiter is too unpleasant to breathe, as its mostly
89.3% hydrogen and 10% helium with small traces of methane, ammonia, water and rock dust (0.07%).

I hear it's pretty darn cold too...being so far from the sun and all.

That's very true as the Methane though a gas, is frozen solid.
