My first "summer" bill came in just a week ago at $183. I am not going to get into details, but we are very good about not wasting electricity and have thermal window coverings, so do share how you have a $60 electric bill on JEA.

Perhaps gas stove, water heater and dryer? I lived in an apartment in Jax Beach in college... it was 1991-1992 timeframe. I had a gas stove and waterheater... Granted I rarely turned on the air and if I did it was on 80... I got a bill from Jax Beach Utilities for $8!! I wish I could have that bill now... A few months later I moved into another apartment with electric appliances and the power bill was 150

My JEA electric bill is also never more than $50. Everything is off (minus the bedroom fan and the tv with a movie for the dog) during the day while I'm at work (normal work hours), when I am home I typically have 1 light on (and fan) in the room I'm in (usually living room or office), plus the computer, tv, PS3. AC is set to 80, but having the fans on is enough so that it is nice and cool. I don't typically use the oven/stove every day, but I do use the smaller appliances daily. Laundry is done every 2 weeks. Normal water heater usage I guess.

It is the same in the 'winter', except Heat is set to 60 and I just use a little space heater next to my feet + blanket + cuddly husky (she likes it cold anyway). I also tend to bake more, but the bill is consistent. Granted, it's just me and the dog in an apartment, so that probably helps?

... what are YOU doing, haha!
