Every time I've checked for the last couple years, the Jags are in the top 3 with some of the highest cap space in the league.

I don't claim to be an expert, but it seams to me Mr. Khan could spend some more money on players if he wanted to.

This is the data I was referring to:
CHART: The Seattle Seahawks Have Largest Payroll In The NFL - Business Insider

I agree they can do better but they're by no means alone in being under cap, so it's not as if it's night and day in comparison. I would bet Khan is going to make some significant change toward that after next year's draft, particularly with offensive weaponry. Though I do question the lack of free agent moves prior to this season.

I think everyone can agree the biggest hole in the Jags lineup is the quarterback. Whether it be through the draft or a free agent, they need to fix that problem. I cannot for the life of me understand why that went unaddressed this past offseason.

Because they wanted to see if Blaine was the guy. Why do people keep asking this question?

Because people saw him and Henne play in 2012?

Cap management is hugely important these days...if we want long term success we have to handle it very delicately and only utilize big money when we see the best return (good value on the players and at a time when we have a legitimate opportunity to compete)

Poor cap management is what killed our glory team in its heyday (2000). Let's not repeat history by building a roster that can't sustain more than a few years. Our spending is in a good place right now...we'll utilize the cap room when we see the best opportunity.

^^^ This, we've tried the build to win now only to see it fail. Its tough, but look back at Seattle and San Fran records past 5 years.

Interesting. WHat should they do in the draft?

Don't reach for one, might not be a QB available in the first round. I think they did well last year. Another good daft, we are in good shape. Remember the whole secondary is rookies, they'll be better next season. Our division is not that tough now. I'm less worried about a Luck led Colts team than a Manning led Colts team.
