I will let you know when the next "meeting" is

sadly I have yet to find a really good bagel place. No one wants to "boil" them before baking.

But the search is fun

karla
I was at Costco and saw that they had bagels there. Has anybody tried those? Any good? Crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside?

they are ok
for about 2 months they had poppy seed bagels till someone high up found out and they had to stop because they didn't have any in the other stores and they have to be "consistent"
ok I just got back form Healthy bagel on university and san jose picked up a dozen (you get 14) one of the parents at the school I teach is form NY and said they were good. so off I went to check them out.
They seem pretty good haven't toasted one yet.

fastninja finding crunchy on the outside seems to be the big problem.
and to answer the question that I know is on your mind "yes please"

Hope I don't forget. A dozen it is, squished in with my scuba gear. I'll be back on either the red eye on Sunday or Monday morning!

ok well so far I have puled out a blueberry and poppy seed form the freezer, a trick I learned is not to cut them before freezing.
The were both pretty good of course if I had cream cheese in the fridge they would of been even better

I passed a healthy bagel express on Baymeadows which is closer but I have a feeling they ship them over from the university location.
