We are building a new home and just got a fantastic deal on all of our appliances at First Coast Supply in Jacksonville. Prices were more than $2000 lower than Lowes and the other major stores in the area. Their customer service was excellent. We would have never found the showroom if our builder hadn't suggested we look there. I recommend you check it out if you are in need of new appliances.

Hi Mav286,

Thanks so much for this info! I am building and will close next month and need a refrig, washer and dryer, so any discount I can get will really help!

I will check them out. We are building too. I have a washer and dryer, but my black refrigerator just won't look good with my stainless oven, microwave and dishwasher.

We paid $2000 less at First Coast Supply than the prices we were quoted for the same brands/models at Lowes and the other major stores in this area. We purchased a refrigerator, cooktop, wall oven/microwave and dishwasher.

So what was your total price and what models did you purchase?

We got our appliance through FCS in 2010. While the prices were pretty stinking good, compared to others, I can't see we are thrilled with the performance of GE. Granted, we didn't buy "high end" stuff, but I'm pretty much anti-GE appliances now.

My advice is to be sure to buy a extended warranty on your appliances from the store if they offer it since brand names that use to represent quality like Whirlpool & GE now only represent "JUNK"! Don't believe me? Look at the 1000's of complaints on consumeraffairs.com, Amazon.com, Pissedconsumer.com, & Facebook & several on youtube. Put any mfg's name in the website's cursor & wah-la! Many, many complaints. The only diamond in the rough seems to be Speed Queen washers & dryers, hard to find complaints against them & customers have nothing but praise for their longevity & performance. Cheap prices won't mean much if the appliance has to be repaired at your cost or replaced in a couple of years. Just my 2 cents. Good luck to all.
