My husband and I are thinking of moving to the Fleming Island area. We have visited the area and love it but I would like to know if anyone can suggest a development that is older and more established then most that I saw when visiting. I'm looking for an area that maybe more retiree's might be living. Housing that dates around 1990's to early 2000's. Not a retiree community but just an older more established neighborhood.
Also looking at St. John's and St Augustine area's. What's your thoughts about these areas?
Thanks for any help!

I lived in Fleming Island for a while, and in my experience most neighborhoods/master-planned communities (in other words, housing built in the late 90s to early 2000s) were a blend of ages. In Eagle Harbor for example, and I'm sure it's the same in Fleming Island Plantation, there were some very active "older" groups (not just events for families with young kids).

You could look in Habersham Harbor. I don't know the specific demographics, but I believe many of the residents have been there for a long time (only based on the fact that houses seem to turn over less frequently in Habersham than in Eagle Harbor).
