Thanks for your response JBtwinz. I love Amelia Island, I am going to come back for vacations. My hotel is right on the beach, and I haven't been able to go for a walk...work + driving back takes all my day.
Anyway...yes, I will check Riverside. Today I ended up in Arlington, where there was a LA fitness center and plenty of restaurants. Any ideas on elementary schools there?

Thanks again :-)

I can't really comment on Arlington as I haven't really explored a lot of it....just some area's. Here is a link from an older post:

Just curious.......how long has your commute been this week?

We also have two great gyms on the island and one just off the island.

Good luck, and make sure you check out one of the many great mom and pop type resturants before you leave........and hit the beach......it is safe here 24/7

Lol. the freeze on Friday...not very pleasant. Anyway. My drive has been about 40 minutes, but it could take longer. I am going to come back to visit the Fort and take pics. Beautiful place, no doubts!
This week, I will be staying close to St. John's area. Let's see. Downtown - very busy traffic. I think I might end up staying close to the airport :-)
Thanks for the Arlington article. I will check it out JBtwinz.

At 40 minutes out, that's is a bit long......On another note

I have been living here since 1989 (the year it snowed and shut everything down) and in my opinion this has been the wettest, coolest and greyest winter yet.

Usually at this time of year I have been at the beach and the twins have been in the water

Good luck!
