This is sad. The food trucks are a welcome site and one of the better offerings of Jax. Off to sign!

FYI, Nocatee is hosting a "Food Truck Night" this Friday starting at 6pm. Maybe we should alert the news and start a Pro Food Truck rally!

Did you read the proposed legislation?

I think most of the proposed legislation (if not all of it) is very sensible. Why shouldn't food trucks be subject to reasonable regulation (like restaurants)?

On my part - the last time I saw a lot of food trucks in JAX was last year at One Spark. By 3 pm - there was trash from the food trucks overflowing the public garbage cans onto the streets (or the trash was simply discarded on the streets without any thought of finding a proper receptacle). And people - after consuming too much in the way of fluids - tried to find places to take a leak in bathrooms in private businesses. And - when some failed in their attempts - if they were guys - they didn't think anything of taking a whiz on side streets (many guys get kind of "urgent" - especially after a few beers - and can't be bothered to walk a couple of blocks to a porta-potty).

the two cooler limit is odd. The state already makes them get a license and carry insurance. No clue why there needs to be a barrier between the food truck and a public park.

The whole trash thing seems to be a problem with the customers, not the business.
