Coming from the NY/NJ area, we enjoy the boardwalks along the Jersey shore. Almost every Jersey shore town have them, where you can enjoy a nice walk, shop in the stores, or relax on the benches along the ocean.

Are there any similar places between northern Jacksonville and south of St. Augustine? We're looking for nice places to spend the day, walking around next to the ocean. While we also love the beach, we'd like to learn of scenic places off the sand too :-)

The current Jacksonville Beach Fishing Pier is 1320 feet long and 20 feet wide.
The old pier that it replaced was 990 feet long and only 15 feet wide.

You won't find anything even close to a Jersey shore boardwalk here. There's a "boardwalk" in Daytona Beach. I put it in quotes because it's pretty pathetic compared to what we're used to in NJ.

Yup. Its nothing like it used to be back in the 90's. Too many storms to deal with.

In short, no.

There are no boardwalks like what you're looking for that I know of around. Not sure if there are any throughout Florida but I've not seen or heard of any. I know what you're talking about though, I enjoyed boardwalks down the shore as well.
