Nocatee seems to have more than one or two local PR firms. I found at least 2-3 others in a 60 second search - including this one in PVB:

Contact - Hunter Valmont Public Relationshttp://huntervalmontpr.com/

I wouldn't be surprised if Nocatee's largest PR firm (in terms of dollars spent) is national (or at least regional) and not located in this area at all. It isn't unusual in my experience for larger outfits to "spread some love around" a bunch of smaller local firms when it comes to things like PR. To create "conflicts of interest" - prevent them from signing up clients who are potential competitors - and avoid any possible "dissing" from them. Of course - firms will usually frame their efforts in other more positive terms (like hiring "local firms" - especially "diverse minority" local firms - plowing money back into the community - etc.).

It's the kind of conflict of interest that's "baked into the cake" when an outfit like the FTU or JAX Magazine accepts real estate advertising (the FTU/JAX Magaine never found an area of JAX where the real estate wasn't great - except maybe a lot on the north side - which they ignore - no ads). Color me old and cynical . Robyn

Just wanted to reiterate that Riverside is the best "walkable" neighborhood. I live two blocks from 5 points and love it! In addition, south of Avondale off Roosevelt Blvd, I believe they call it Lake Shore is decently walkable too. The Beaches also has some places like that, especially Atlantic Beach. One of my friends on disability for agoraphobia and lives in Amelia Island, she is able to bike or walk to the store and loves it! Hopes that helps.

OTOH - I don't think anyone would disagree that you need a car to get the most of out of what this area has to offer. Robyn
