Hello all. Relocating my young family of 6 to St Johns County, from Spring Arbor, Michigan. Originally, we were focusing our housing efforts around the World Golf and Julington Creek areas. We have touched based with a few realtors (chosen at random so far) and they are sending numerous listings located in Heritage Landing. I greatly appreciate and advice/warning you can give on the area. And furthermore, I would appreciate alternative/recommendations for more solid/stable areas for real estate. Our major family concerns are, of course, safety and good schools. Although a tie for those concerns is a stable, local housing market. If we pay cash for a house this summer, I would like to be able to break even in 2-3 years, if we had to sell it. Budget is $175K - $240K, minimum 4 bedroom and 2200 square feet. THANK YOU ALL... a very gracious, future neighbor here! And also, if you have any realtor recommendations, please send their names!

Unless you're willing to accept the fact that you might sell for a 30% profit in 2-3 years - or a 30% loss - you shouldn't be buying a house - anywhere. Especially Florida. Where the real estate market is usually far from stable (lot of big ups and big downs). Robyn

Heritage Landing is not a sub division I would invest in!
