Only possible explanation is yall got more small town people moving there who have never experienced a city. Other than that its a big red flag I mean you guys got multiple people online pleading and begging people not to move there with strong emotions. Not just your normal homesick posts. So I figure there must be something to it. It sucks because on paper jax seemed perfect for me.

What finally changed my mind is when people from downtown chicago philly and LA started bashing jax as dangerous!! Thats not good when people from dangerous places like chicago and LA say they felt less safe. Lol. Just saying. I mean stuff is so over the top and hard to believe but just so many people in agreement I cant ignore it.
Destroyed roads?

All in the beaches area, btw, the area what you want to live in. It's not hard to actually find out the truth with just a little more research. Jacksonville has everything you're looking for but if you're listening to the people that don't even live here instead of the people posting in this actual thread, then you're gonna have a hard time moving. Every city has it negatives, but the ones you listed aren't even true.

Its either people are like "its not that bad" or they are posting was all these facts and figures sayin all this bad stuff and begging peope not to go as if they would beg someone not to committ suicide or something. Its just a lot to try to ignore and I dont have time to visit. Decision must be made in a couple of days unfortunately.
Just say no to the job, I'm sure someone else who needs that job will love Jax like we do.

You're going to base a decision on what "people" say on the internet?
You're to busy to drive what, 150 miles and take a visit?
You may be to dumb to actually move here and Jacksonville would be
lucky if you don't, the average IQ score for northeast Florida wouldn't go down then.

Thats not very nice. Lol. Cmon guys obviously I know it would be better to see for myself but I have work and this job offer will only wait for me to decide for so long. I cant just skip work. I thought thats what this forum was for - so people can try to get an idea of what its like to live somewhere. If I could be there to know I wouldnt have to ask. Duh.

So you're going to claim to be to busy to visit, you don't have weekends in your career?
I don't use Southern Charm on dumb people, I carry a badge and gun on my job and use them.
