Hi all! I have enjoyed reading all the posts and just had a few questions myself. My mother and I are considering moving to JAX in April. I have a job lined up, and have no doubt that my mother will be able to find something. Since it will only be my mother and I we need a safe neighborhood to start out in. Preferally close to shopping, restaurants, and the area where I will be working (zip: 32258). We do not mind living in a condo or town-house, around $150ish. Not sure if we should start out renting or buying since I will be expected to work full time as soon as I get there.

I think you will like hit here.I would rent a home to start with.The price of homes is still trying to find its place.With the major down turn in housing cost I know what the so call experts say .But I would want a little longer into 2008 to buy.And you may find an area you like better after you have settled for a while.
