Hard to predict the weather - you might want to google info - there's likely to be pre-Christmas activities in both Daytona and J'ville. Going to the beach is always neat that time of year. Not much info, hopefully others can chime in.

In between Jacksonville and Daytona is St. Augustine which has Nights of Lights Nights of Lights in St. Augustine. Worth visiting.

If you're here as early as December 3rd (first Wednesday), there's the Art Walk in downtown Jacksonville. This link is for the November Art Walk, but gives you an idea about what to expect. It's a great event for young and old. Jacksonville First Wednesday Art Walk.

Weather can be iffy. Lately we've had evenings in the low 60s and mornings in the high 50s with cool-ish daytime temps. Yet, yesterday (Sunday) it was in the 80s and hot. I guess it would be best to bring summer-wear and some layers to add just in case.

Definitely hard to predict weather that time of year. Daytime temps can range from 50's to 60's most likely. As for activities, you just might want to make a stop and spend a day in St. Augustine, America's oldest city. It's about 30 minutes south of Jacksonville. Try walking around the "old town," visit Castillo de San Marcos (an old fort), Ponce de Leon's Fountain of Youth. In Daytona, try the beach and boardwalk (may be a little breezy) but crowds are small. There are a few rides and and amusement park things to do. Get some fresh made taffy while you're there. You may also want to visit the Daytona Speedway. They have a racing museum/gift shop and the track is currently undergoing a massive expansion and renovation. You might be able to get a tour of the new track.
