I am thinking of moving into Plummer creek. I've never lived where I ha to pay association dues. I saw where they are expected to go to $50 a month. Could they go even higher down the road? Is there a cap on high they could go?

HOA fees are different than real estate taxes and CDD fees which have specific "rules" about if, when, how they can change. An HOA is run by a board of directors who are elected by the association membership (residents). Members have input regarding anything the board does. In theory all place nice. In reality, not always.

Unless it's written in the association by-laws, which it probably is not, there is no cap on fees. I've lived in two different HOAs and fortunately the board and residents got along and the board was intent on not raising fees unless there was no choice. One factor to remember is that board members are residents and any increases affect them, too, so they do keep that in mind when contemplating increases.

There are no CDDs in Plummer creek and there never will be... HOAs are going to be about $500/year. The amenity center is currently under construction and the $500/year is based on it being finished.

It's a great neighborhood
