OP... I hope that you called the attorney a poster listed up thread. I do think it would be the most cost effective way to handle this. Too many negatives imo for you to try to do this by yourself especially in person.

Good news, all! I talked to the Court themself, and all I have to do is mail in a letter and $96 Certified Funds and they will schedule me a Court Date, since they see one was never set.

I'm prepared for them to drop it down to a Careless and I'm sure a plea on the No Ops. I'm going to go in my best clothes. I'm very respectful in Court. The people (kids) in saggy jeans and tattoos that give the Judge attitude **** me off. And I'm sure they **** the Judge off. I am so respectful in Court that even a Judge clearly angry he had to do whatever with someone mouthing off to him (the Judge is the Judge, not the angry overaggressive and overcompensating for personal issues having nothing to do with you Cop that wrote the ticket) that even in that clearly angered state.. I am respectful and soft-spoken enough to achieve a favorable result.

Usually.

It is key to never admit guilt, and be prepared to maintain Not Guilty plea, but if they are offering something where you avoid jail in exchange for their HOLY Guilty Plea, that's what you want. Take it, and high-tail it out of there.

More than likely they will accept a plea of No Contest and you are good.
