Young Family Relocating To JAX Area from SC - HELP:) (Jacksonville: for sale, apartment)

My husband and I are planning on putting our house up for sale here in SC, after the new year, and moving to the Jacksonville area with our 2 young kids. Some of the things we are looking for are

- good schools: I have read good things about St Johns County school district. Much better than our current district. My oldest will be starting preschool in the fall (2017)
- safe
- things to do with kids (there's NOTHING here) - family friendly area
- being within 20 min to the beach, 25 minutes to JAX

I have read a lot about Nocatee and it seems amazing for a young family. We will probably end up renting an apartment for the first 6 months to a year to get a better feel for the surrounding areas before we commit. Can you reccomend any apartment buildings that meet our criteria in the $1500/m range?

My husband is an inspector for an aerospace company. He can work for other companies in quality control but would like to stick with aerospace if possible. Are there any major aerospace companies around the JAX / St Augustine area he should look into that we might not have come across yet?

Northrop grumman is on US-1 (Phillips Hwy) and closer to St Augustine..thats the aerospace company I can think of. But with a $1500 budget, I recommend renting a condo from an owner or property-management instead of an apartment.
