What an incredible story in the Times Union about the Port Expansions will bring Jacksonville 50,000 jobs within the decade.

I know there are alot of the Giant Crane operators out there but i imagine these will be loading and unloading the Cargo Ships via Forklift also so does anyone know if there are Forklift Certification classes at FCCJ or at the Port Authority.

I'm really stoked reading this article.

You'd have to give FCCJ a call to see what they currently offer, but you could also contact OSHA and see who offers OSHA compliant training.

I did a quick google search and came up with:


Some old OSHA-FCCJ info, so at least at some point FCCJ offered OSHA compliant forklift training:
Florida Community College at Jacksonville: Alliance Annual Report 2005-2006


A local school that offers some OSHA compliant training:
Northeast Florida Safety Council - Occupational Health & Safety
