Where is everyone gassing up these days? Anyone has a favorite? Is there collusion going on? Today $3.25/gal at some stations, $3.09/gal at others. Prices lower in St. Aug than in Jax. Oh well, just venting!!

There is a yahoo widget called "gas watch" that will keep real time track of which station in your zip has the cheapest gas.

Oh don't get me started on gas prices!!! Drove past a Kangaroo to pick up my husband at his office and the price was $3.15. A little over one measly hour later when we drove by again it was $3.14!! That was Thursday. On Friday mid-day it was $3.16. I'm guessing a gas station owner fills his/her day by sitting in front of a computer watching oil prices and adjusting his/her pumps on a minute-by-minute basis.

I paid $3.25 the other day only to find it for $3.14 when I drove down the road a bit.

But then I figured the difference is only $1.76 and it wasn't worth getting upset over.

The station at $3.25 has plenty of pumps, I never have to wait in line, and it's easy to pull in and out of. The one I saw for $3.14 is a bear to get in and out of and it's always too busy......so what's my time worth?

Default Cheap Gas Southside

Raceway and others that are near the Humane Society on Beach Blvd. Near the creek. There is a stretch between St. Nicholas and Southside Blvd along beach that ALWAYS seems to be 10 - 20 cents less per gallon??? Maybe they pump it out of the creek? Hey, it's cheap and it works.

Wal-Mart on Branan Field Road (just north of Blanding) is $3.14, and if you have one of those Wal-Mart shopping cards, it's $3.11.

Southside got the lowest gas prices according to Jacksonville Gas Prices - Find Cheap Gas Prices in Florida. I did a Northside/Southside comparison and Southside got us beat. Even the hood gas stations on the Northside have high prices.

If the savings is only a matter of pennies you can use up that much in gas getting to the cheaper station.

The other day on one of the network channels I was watching an interview with some independent truckers at a truck stop. One trucker says it costs him about $900 to fill up. And then he said something like this: @#$%^&*?><!!!.
