Soulshine1,
I was just reading your post and the responses you received and was wondering if you’d made your move. If you did could you tell me where you landed and what you think of it and the area in general?
I’m considering a move to Florida myself, and was looking at the same area. Any information you might be willing to share would be greatly appreciated.

OP, remember the coasts are better for all year living, the weather can get brutal in Ocala and anywhere really withing 20 miles of the coast. We are in St. Augustine and other than downtown on a nice day one really does not notice the fact that we are a tourist town. Also, the fact St. Auggie is a college town is good too. Yes, it is a little more expensive, especially on the Island, but one does get what one pays for. Traffic is a little more manageable than other areas but getting more and more each year. Beaches are clean, never crowded and easy to get to, there is lots of parking if one knows where to look.

Good luck with your choice and welcome to sunny Florida. you will not miss the Boston weather.
