Does anyone know much about this area? We are looking to move to Saint Johns area this spring/summer and this is on area we did not tour on our last visit. How is this area? Safe, convenient? Families? I know it is districted to Switzerland MS and Bartram HS.
Thanks!

There are several neighorhoods off of Roberts Road, the biggest is probably Cunningham Creek. Most all those neighborhoods there are nice and are zoned for good schools. They're a little far away from everything but not that bad of a drive (yet).

Once the 9B extension that’s under construction right now gets completed, there will be quicker access to interstate highways. It’s still a couple of years away, I believe.

The signs on the road say completion date of "Summer 2018", but I'll believe it when I see it.

Also, Roberts Road is only a two lane road that can get *extremely* backed up at times when schools are starting or letting out. There are also more and more neighborhoods popping up surrounding that road......Oxford Estates being the biggest....which will only add additional congestion to that road. And the new K-8 school being built in Aberdeen might add even more traffic to that area.

I would advise taking a long hard look at your routes to/from work. If you have to go north to downtown, that would be an awful drive. You'd have to sort of backtrack to the 9B entrance when completed (currently, all the say to 210), or make the trek up north on SR13/San Jose Blvd, which might be one of the top 3 busiest roads in all of Jax. Figure out where you're going to need to commute to first before deciding on a neighborhood. We lucked out by picking a neighborhood that will be right near the 9B intersection without knowing it would be built.

Thanks but my husband will be working remote, so I am not too worried about that. I just want to make sure area is nice and safe before we add that to our search list. it looks like it has conveniences (stores, restaurants, etc) nearby on 13, no? It is just not convenient to 95?

There is plenty of grocery shopping and a fair amount of restaurants on SR13 near Racetrack Rd. It's probably a 10 minute drive from the subdivisions along Racetrack Rd.
