I'm a single woman looking to move with her 18 year old son to warmer climates but a place that will provide a good secondary education in an electrician apprenticeship program and I'm considering possible areas in the Carolinas, Georgia, Florida (some family there) and Texas (Houston, Dallas Fort Worth area) areas but unsure if I should stay here another 4 years in Seattle area for him to complete a program or move now.? I'm a single woman and the price in Seattle is outrageous which is forcing me out of the area. Any helpful insights are appreciated.

Hello,

Seattle is a beautiful city. However, your right the cost of living is thru the roof. I currently live in Jacksonville Beach FL. I personally do not like Jacksonville. Its boring. I think Orlando or Tampa would be great for you. I didn't have a choice in relocating to Jacksonville. I am leaving in a couple months. I see that Texas is on your list. I love TEXAS! San Antonio and Houston are worth checking out. I have lived in both cities. Texas is an amazing state. Tons and tons of jobs. Out of all the places you have mentioned I think your money would go further in Texas. Good luck.
