I am a mature single international airline professional who is seeking housing in the Jacksonville area and would like to find a nice place to call home for the next two to three years. My present lease of six years on a large townhome is up at the end of March and I would like to downsize and find a studio/one bedroom that is not part of a large congested apt community but something more quiet and residential. Any suggestions?

Sure, there's many of these "guest house" type of set ups in historic Riverside & Avondale and historic Springfield. They're all over the place, and these two areas are conveniently located near downtown and I95 (15-20 max to the airport).
