Be very careful and go to the neighborhoods and ask the people living there.
Florida is known for poor construction materials: 10-15 year shingles, 6 yr AC, 5 yr water heater, etc.....You get what you pay for.

what model did you pick and in what neighborhood ? We just signed contract with them. Went through structural changes (step 1) and are waiting for the step 2 - picking colors in their design center.

So far the experience has been great except that they DO NOT NEGOTIATE. they would not even give us $3,000 off of the 500,000 house!!

They were able to give us examples of $$ for upgrades we wanted and are planning to pick in a design center so we kind of have an idea now how much more will be added to our current price (that is already much bigger than the base because we had to expand rooms -added square footage).

PS. we are building in Duval county.

It's been a few months since you posted this question. I was wondering how is it going?

I am purchasing a home with Dream Finders. We signed our contract due to our excitement. The process has been good so far. We notice that the sales representative tend to lie to make you feel good.

We regret not reviewing all the structure changes before signing, they charge a huge fee after signing. If you want to make changes not on their flier there is a non refundable fee .

Can you share your thoughts on the "Plan review meeting"? It states on the contract that we have an opportunity to make small changes? Do you know what is it referring to? Also, it states that there is a $1000 for any structural changes. Can you guys share your experience at this meeting? Has anyone tried to make changes at this stage? Any suggestion please...

Thanks
