that's how it is in my house but have to tell everyone this story. My niece was staying with me over a weekend and I was in the kitchen fixing dinner. She asked me where the "sprinkles" were and I said look in the pantry. She looked and said she couldn't find any. I walked over and handed her the chocolate jimmies, and she looked at me liked I'd lost my everloving mind. She said "you put chocolate sprinkles in the litter box? " She was talking about litter box deodorizer!!!

Hey I'm SC now, NY originally too - soda in New York, but I've heard "may I have a coke?" answer: "what kind of coke?" a few times in SC :-)

What do you call them? And where are you from?
Sprinkles -- born in NYC, live on LI

I've heard the term 'ants' used for them upstate. Once.

:nods:

I grew up on the NJ Shore. My babysitters in the summer were from Philly. They called them Jimmies. We called them both.

I consider the terms to be interchangeable. Just don't forget to put them on my frozen custard!
