I think they do a great job and the support is there to succeed as an AA team or AAA team. Glad we get to see the real talent that AA provides over the bengay geritol boys of AAA
That's not even half full (11,000 capacity). And the stats that I can see from 2016 show that would put the Jumbo Shrimp 2nd to last in the International League and 3rd to last in the Pacific Coast league in terms of AAA attendance. Not exactly something that jumps out and screams the need to move up to a higher division.

Good or bad, the Jags ARE a pro sports team. The Jags are based here in Jacksonville, ergo, Jax is a pro-sports town. If I applied your same argument to Green Bay or Oklahoma City, would it hold water?

Your last two sentences cement my original point: If we can't have MLB here, why not have the closest thing to it, which is AAA ball?

I’m not arguing with you about Jacksonville having a AAA minor league team. Just because you have one , ONE professional sports team out of the 4 major sports leagues does not make Jacksonville a pro-sports town. There is no NHL team here in Jacksonville, no MLB team, and no NBA team. Never will be

As for the Jaguars, again, if this is such a happening “sports town “( your words), why does Mr. Khan continue to ensure year after year that Jaguars fans in this “sports town” lose 1 home game a year by scheduling it in London. This year the Jaguars home game in London is against the Eagles. The defending champions and if you want to see them play your team, you’ll need a passport and plane ticket. Not too much of a sports town here

In addition, prior to the Rams and Chargers moving back to Los Angeles, why were there constant, heavy rumors about Jacksonville being moved to LA ?

And don’t ever compare Green Bay to Jacksonville. Are you serious ? Green Bay has a history, a winning tradition, an identity. I’m sure Jacksonville will change their logo and uniforms again in 5 years as soon as they are eligible. What a joke.
