I'm in a similar situation, retired Fire/Medic originally from Queens and currently living in Orange Co. Interestingly I also first considered Lewes however having researched on the DE forum I decided against it as I found quite a few negatives. Lower Slower was interesting though northern DE seemed to have the better med facilities - Christiana Med / Penn Med.

As to healthcare in Jax/SJ I haven't gotten further than preliminary research as I didn't see the need until I was able to visit the area and decide if it was for me. However that said, I came across 'Open Access Elect Choice' which seems to be about the best NYC/Aetna has to offer (?)

And as far as GHI, from what I've seen coverage is far and few. Nor is there any guarantee that the few who do accept it will continue to do so. When I get there I will visit a few GHI doctors and speak with the staff... hopefully they will offer some helpful advice.

Also, have you looked into hospital coverage ?

I'll attach some links, hopefully you may find these helpful. Good luck.

The smaller the houses the more kids outside(speaking from experience) -so for example Lakeside or Twenty Mile or Greenleaf will have more kids out playing than Coastal Oaks. Kelly Point lots of kids out too
