I am considering accepting an offer at FL Coastal Law School. I have never been to Jax. I am hoping to visit this month but cant learn all I need to know in one trip. Any words of advice for a someone moving? Any info or opinions on the school and its local reputation. I would appreciate all the info I can get. Thanks

It has an excellent reputation. I got this from wiki, but read it in the paper a while ago-

The statewide Florida Bar average pass rate is 66.2% (2002-2007). Florida Coastal School of Law's pass rate is consistently above the statewide average. Florida Coastal had an 80.0% pass rate on the February 2008 Florida Bar Exam. Florida Coastal had a 70.1% pass rate on the February 2007 Florida Bar Exam Florida Coastal had a 77.6% pass rate on the February 2006 Bar Exam. Florida Coastal had an 81.9% pass rate on the July 2005 State Bar Examination. In July 2005 its pass rank was first in the State of Florida.

FCSL is a 4th tier school. FCSL ranks lower than other schools in Florida and low nationally as well. Please see the following link for more information.

The University of Florida ("UF"), Florida State University ("FSU"), and The University of Miami are the best schools in Florida. If you are looking to practice in Jackonville, UF is your best bet followed by FSU.
