Maybe just me. Maybe 5-6 days in August that were about the same as what I had in FL. Most felt downright pleasant.

Nothing beats Florida for consistent heat/humidity.

Maybe Raleigh is different though? Columbia, SC was really hot so Im not doubting this claim.
I was speaking of North Carolina not Tennessee and not the mountains of North Carolina.

Atlanta sits in a bowl like Columbia, South Carolina and is hotter than hell.

Tampa, Florida and the West Coast of Florida is more humid than South Florida.

Again, parts of the south like Atlanta, Charlotte, Raleigh, Columbia, etc are hotter than South Florida is the summer.

This is from my personal experience having grown up in the deep south.

I just spent a week in Las Vegas for a conference, and I did a day trip to Grand Canyon West. Upon my return flight, I gladly welcomed the humid air as I walked out of the terminal at JIA. I took several deep breaths, and my nasal passages were thankful for each one.

Haha, it was the same for me when we took a ski trip to CO in the spring. I could hardly sleep at night with the super dry air clogging up my nose. The minute I stepped out of the Jax airport I took a big deep breath and knew I was home.
