Ivan Putski and Florida2014 - do you have a pool?
We do not because we live directly across the street from our community pool.

I don't see a specific reference to artificial turf, but Florida Statute 373.185 addresses the Florida Friendly Landscaping Law. If you want to see 1 property in Jax (near you) that has (or had) artificial turf, make a loop around Bulow Creek Dr in Bartram Springs. You can pretty easily spot the house on the satellite view of Google Maps, on the southwest side of the pond, near the bottom corner.
Interesting. Out of curiosity I just looked up our architectural guidelines, which states the following:

"Yards shall be completely sodded with St. Augustine/Floratam sod. Synthetic plans are not permitted unless approved by the Developer and/or ACC as applicable."

No pool. Didn't want one. Our in-laws, who live nearby, have a pool. We also hit the beach frequently (virtually every weekend from March to Nov).

Same here. "No artificial grass, plants, vegetation or rocks used in lieu of sod...."

Thanks again everyone. I think we’ll definitely have to hire out a law service then.

Jeez that’s a steep water price for no pool!

Also unrelated but does anyone have any experience or know of anything about working in shop over there? My husband is a CNC machine programmer and summers are pretty brutal here. He works in over 100 degree weather now and he thinks he’d be able to withstand the heat in Florida but I’m scared he won’t withstand the humidity.
