Hi,We are thinking about moving to St Augustine. We are retired and in early 70’s.We have had a condo there since 2001 and sold it 2 years ago due to steps, renters etc.We loved location. We used to know the area well and have seen $ go up up etc.Any suggestions. We do not need a super sized home but maybe gas cooking-natural surroundings, small community center, and quality builder.CDD fees are a worry but if pd or included-Thank you Price range-200-400 range

Del Web Nocatee would be my suggestion. 55+ community with amenities galore. Homes will mostly be at the top of your range. There is a fully built out Del Web as well as a brand new shiny community that just had grand opening. HOA and CDD are part of the gig but you might find a resale with CDD paid down or paid completely. All gas cooking/water heater, plenty of natural surroundings.

The catch is this isn't St Augustine but just north.

The listed price is hard to hold to IMHO.

We went ⅓ over the base price but all the extras were to add and extend the garages, flooring upgrades, bathroom upgrades, smart home upgrades etc. We only went up one level on appliances as the builder’s appliances were nothing great just fair. They would not discount for not putting in their stuff.

We passed on the “pool” which was tiny IMHO

We will upgrade appliances them when the time comes.

The quality of construction in that community is impeccable. Pulte/Del Webb is good, no doubt, but UniFlorida is even better.
