This is the most honest assessment of Weatherization I have seen ever produced, and I thought it important to share with the community to dispel any myths being perpetuated by manufacturers and builders.

As I've been saying on here for years, the focus needs to be on the INSTALLERS, not the system itself. It's refreshing to see a well respected building specialist like Mr. Risinger come out with this video.

They have been extremely hesitant to use the Zip System for many, many years now. I wouldn't count on it, as they have a very solid National Agreement with Typar, so until that expires I wouldn't expect any changes. The Typar is still one of the top performing housewraps in the industry, and with the exhaustive inspections that they perform on their Building Envelopes, switching to the Zip System leaves very little room for improvement in their overall wall systems.

There would be maybe a very slight improvement in air infiltration/energy efficiency, but as far as moisture intrusion is concerned, Pulte is in very good shape.
