Got this off another thread that has each city's murder count and rate as of 10/2.

Jacksonville 95/10.51

95 murders (so far) and a 10.5 murder rate is low for a city of over 900,000 in the city limits. At the current pace, Jacksonville might see 130-140 homicides, but I'm hoping for 130. Either way, Jacksonville isn't as bad as it used to be. In the 90's, it was on fire with violent shootings at least every other day. Where's all this talk about Jacksonville having an out of control violent crime issue? Even in the ghetto, there's periods of peace.

Reporting the truth doesn't glue eyeballs to local news reports or sell newspapers.
