Eh......I don't remember any of them coming in with the fanfare of Lawrence. Bortles was a good college QB in a mediocre division and anyone with half a brain could have seen that baseball throwing style of his wasn't going to work well in the NFL. Leftwich was about the same....Marshall QB. I can't remember the hype with Gabbert to be honest.

Just using the eye test, Lawrence is so far beyond any of them with arm strength, speed and QB IQ. He looks NFL ready to me. I think Fields will be very good too, just seems that Lawrence could start week 1 whereas Fields might need a few weeks to be groomed into a starter.

I hope you are right as I am not sure I can deal with another three years rebuilding this team again only to be where we are today.

Bears and Colts left. Lets hope for 0-2 and the #1 pick.

It's going to be ALL IN on TL. If he doesn't work out for whatever reason, the Jags are sunk for another decade.

Let's focus on losing these last two games. I just have a weird feeling they beat the Bears and I don't know why I say that.

Totally agree. When Trevor missed the first Notre Dame match up (and lost), the Tigers played very good under the backup QB. But you could tell something was missing. When TL played Saturday in the ACC Championship against ND, you could just feel the difference he makes on the field and the Tigers crushed ND.

TL can be the next Tom Brady if the Jags can get the pieces and coaching they need.

On the Jags Report last night they compared TL to Aaron Rodgers as to the closest current QB matching his skills. I guess I can see that, but that's a really big jump from college to becoming Aaron Rodgers.

They also created a song and dance routine celebrating the #1 pick. I sure hope everyone isn't jinxing this. A good point was brought up by someone that the final game of the season could be meaningless for the Colts, in which case they're going to bench all their starters. It would still be 50/50 for the Jags to win but man.....please please please don't let that happen.

We did it, lost big to the Bears and Jets won so the #1 pick is ours. Just pray Lawrence declares for the draft and decades of suffering may start coming to an end. Go Jags. Improves are change of a good GM and Coach.

That was an embarrassment today by our defense!

While I am all for picking up Lawrence, this team needs a lot more than a QB!

Both sides of the ball need rebuilding, and like the announcers kept mentioning, who holds a QB competition in week 16!

I hear they have to squeegee Frank Frangie's mic after every game. He's the Daffy Duck of radio!
