Re-starting a new Jags thread here to discuss all things Jaguars. I'll start.......the Jaguars are as bad as they have been since the start of this franchise. From the QBs to the WRs to the OL and the entire defense......I don't think the team has a single All Pro and after Marrone and the entire staff are canned, we will need to rebuild yet again for a third time since I moved here in '14. That AFC championship game seems like a lifetime ago.

Don’t take this wrong but we really didn’t need to start a new thread unless we wanted to dig up our comments on the Jaguars losing ways from the past, but I hear you. We have actually reached a serious new low here which I am happy to give my three cents on a new thread.

We have been here since the announcement had been made of Jacksonville getting an NFL team. Since that time we have had some super highs but more than anything we have endured a tremendous amount of lows at the bottom.

Also during that time we have had some exemplary standout players and I can’t even count the number of QB’s we have gone through since Brunel.

My take this year was Foles was the answer, win or lose it was stated by the staff that the team was being groomed to work with his skills. When he went out Minshew did well but Foles needed to be kept in the remainder of the season to work with the O line.

Both the O line and D line need work. We are racking up record penalty’s every game. As much as I want to see the Jags win I can’t help but feel if they close out the remainder of the season with losses it will be a no brainer to clean house of the coaching staff. I really think Marrone knows he cannot help the team. He looks so defeated in his press talks.

As far as Coughlin and the front office, if we get rid of Coughlin who can help Shad? Luckily Shad is not a Dan Snyder, he needs someone who knows football and that should of been Coughlin. Was Coughlin not that involved in the coaching decisions?

Unfortunately for the fans the coal in all our stockings will say that 2020 will be another rebuilding year!

I'm hopeful the Jags hire Ron Rivera. He's a proven winner in the NFL and is a risk taker, evidenced by his nickname "Riverboat Ron." They can take a chance on some up and coming college coach, but with so many veterans on this team, I think a former NFL coach needs to step in and put his stamp on this team.

I go back and forth on this QB fiasco here. I think we did need to see more of Foles but frankly, he looked very timid and not fully healthy out there. Understandable after a broken clavicle but with our O-line so horribly awful, Marrone's hands were tied because he needs a mobile QB in there to be able to keep plays alive and Foles simply isn't very mobile. Fournette is a very good RB but his style of running isn't going to last long in the NFL. I give him 2 more years before he breaks down.

In terms of the draft, I don't even have a clue where the Jags go first. I would say you need to build up the O-line and roll the dice on some later round skilled players on the offense, and I guess blow another pick or two on some LBs. I really don't know though, there are so many holes on this team you can pretty much draft any position and it would automatically be an upgrade.

It was time for new thread.

Getting rid of Coughlin is the most important move for Jags. No coach or GM who has options will come here knowing Coughlin has ultimate power.

I tend to agree. I was all on board the Coughlin train, but he just doesn't seem to be able to grasp the new NFL. He's still stuck in the 90s with the run first mentality. That's not only not going to work with this roster, it's also not going to sell tickets and anyone with eyes can see this team is losing fans quickly due to the very mundane style of play.

I disagree with the last two comments. One of the reasons we suck as a team is because we are moving away from the "old school" kind of football that used to be played. Our team is soft and full of entitled crybabies. Tom stands against that kind of behavior. I'm glad he drove away Jalen...he was a punk and a cancer on the team. That had to be addressed. The BIG issue here is the person who has inflicted the most damage on this team, and that is Dave Caldwell. Why he is still employed is beyond me, and it speaks to Shad's indecisiveness. IMO, he has no business owning an NFL team. This isn't soccer.

I wasn't sure what to expect from this season, but I was hopeful when Nick Foles was signed. The Jags had already bombed on three first-round QB selections, and it was time to try something different. That lasted for less than one quarter, then he was horrible when he returned. Gardner Minshew has been a pleasant surprise, but even he cannot overcome the massive deficiencies in the roster and on the coaching staff.

It is pretty clear that the current coaching staff is gone. I am hoping to see the Jaguars in the Super Bowl at least once before I leave this rock, but since I am about to turn 65, I am wondering if it will ever happen.

Hey guys, it's pretty clear the Colts and the Jags both will be out of playoff contention by the last game of the season. To surprise my wife for Christmas, I bought tickets to the last Jags home game along with flight, hotel, and rental. When I bought the tickets, I was hoping the game would mean something as it had potential for that, but obviously that's not going to be the case.

We are both Colts fans, so my question is will it be safe for us to wear Colts gear? I've never been to the stadium, but my thinking is since the game will be more or less meaningless it should be fine. For those of you that have been to the games there I just wondered what you have experienced.

Last year we watched the Colts play at FedEx field against the Redskins here in DC, and it was fine. I'm not an obnoxious fan by any means, so I'm not expecting trouble. But if it can get nasty I'll just wear normal clothes. Thanks in advance.

You'll be fine in Colts gear. We pretty much go to every home game and I've yet to see anyone mess with folks wearing opponent's jerseys. This ain't Philly that's for sure.

You'll be absolutely fine. In fact, during games against popular teams like the Steelers, the stadium appears to be almost half full of the other team's fans. What a shame.
