I relied on Zillow, except for the Agent reviews. Best to have an agent who is really familiar with the area since you have such a specific type of house in mind. When I lived in WNY a great deal of the house were MCM and it was no big deal, but I guess what comes around goes around. Here is an article about MCM furniture:

I have seen a lot of awesome MCM homes on HGTV in California where the style was much more popular I suspect due to the more temperate weather and different demographics.

I understand the appeal of MCM, but I love our FCM (Florida Century Modern) house with its huge master bedroom (bigger than our bedroom in WNY) high ceilings, split floor plan (aka California Ranch) with bedrooms on opposite sides of the house, a wall around the bathroom (for privacy) and tons of windows.

We like it. Its all what you grow up with. MCM was big in California and I love seeing the houses on HGTV. Some of them are really incredible. I would say Florida is much newer and waaay more affordable. Good luck on your search. I found this incredible MCM on Zillow with a pool and water frontage and dock. The original architect William Morgan helped restore it. Its a piece of Jacksonville Architectural history and unfortunately not to everyone's taste being on the market for a few years.

Yes! I'm familiar with that listing. Very cool. It's been on the market for a while. I'm guessing it's not really a fit for those who are in the market for a $700k house in Jax.
