No problem, let the RNC pay for it and not use taxpayer dollars.

Looks like the mayor of Jacksonville isn’t all onboard as he was in the beginning.

Both Parties should cancell their Conventions, The Pandemia warrants that, just leave The Elections alone, they HAVE to go on !!!!

The One BAD Cycle of the last 4 yrs needs to end together with the Pandemia this year before it's over.

With all the costly precautions, testing, security, etc. this would probably end up COSTING the city money. That's on top of infecting a few hundred Jax residents (and vice versa). I realize he initially agreed to this when the numbers were relatively low but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that these sorts of gatherings are a bad idea. Democrat or Republican........the virus doesn't care.

I think the Dems were planning on more of a virtual convention.

Exactly, politics aside this is extremely bad timing. When this was first announced it appeared to many Florida had a grip on the pandemic with its low numbers.

Right now looking at the news and the voices in our community’s, the uncertainties within Jacksonville and the surrounding county’s are all about the concerns over the school year.

Unfortunately no one was prepared for this, how could they but seeking millions for security and additional resources for a weeklong event does not make sense right now.
