I am planning on buying a house as an investment property in jacksonville. What neighbrohoods do you consider safe, and close to things.

Hi there rsgoofy. My wife and I are moving to Sevilla in about a month. We looked around for the past year or so (was waiting on a job change) and thought that was a great location not only for now but once the shopping comes along in a few years. The prices have dropped dramatically to the point where we could afford it now when we were going to have to give up some square footage if we had moved a year ago. If you are considering WGV I would look at it. Other neighborhood farther down I95 are good too, i've just heard once the area is built up traffic getting to 95 might become an issue.

Depends on how much you are looking to spend and what kind of tenants you are looking for. You can definitely find great value in housing right now, but you need to consider how much you are willing to spend and can you handle the carrying cost until you find a tenant. Also, can you handle the maintenance issues that come with renting a house? Just a few issues to ponder.

Default southside(zip code 32256)

In my opinion Southside (zip code 32256) is a good investment area. Everything is nearby. Lots of single family houses, condos and apts. And good flow of tenants too.
