I am in my early 50s and plan to relocate from Pennsylvania to FL in the very near future. I made brief visit to both St Johns/Saint Augustine and Sarasota/Bradenton. But I am struggling to make a choice in buying a single-family house either in St Johns/Saint Augustine (Northeast FL) or in Sarasota/Bradenton (Southwest FL). Both areas are very nice but very different too.

I am really eager to hear your perspectives, experience, advice to help me make my best decision between St Johns/Saint Augustine and Sarasota/Bradenton. Thank you in advance!

From NY and it was tough deciding between Sarasota and St John’s, they were the only options for us. We recently moved to St John’s and it’s truly the perfect fit for us. We’ll vacation in Sarasota , it’s a bit slower/laid back and we felt it best to be on the Atlantic

My mother-in-law moved to Sarasota from NJ few year ago. She lived there for 6 months and moved back to NJ. She left everything in the condo and had people pack things up and move it back to NJ.... Don't ask her about Sarasota lol.

Tell her to visit St John’s. Lot of NJ/NY folks moving into Ponte Vedra. I’d love to hear what she has to say about Sarasota

She visits us here in PVB all the time (won't live here for personal reasons).
