Horn and finger used regularly .

I'm a pretty patient person, but if someone does something dangerous/stupid, you better believe they're going to hear about it from me .

Traffic needs to flow. No one has the right to ride the left lane like it's a ride at Epcot. If you can't keep up with the flow of traffic, find someone else to drive you around.

By the way, I know someone who used to deliver organs for transplants here in NEFL/SEGA. Hearts, livers, etc. People are on the operating table waiting for that organ to come through the hospital doors. These organs are delivered via messenger on ice in a cooler in an unmarked car, that's how it's done. So the next time you're taking your sweet time holding up traffic, let's hope it's not someone in your family waiting for a transplant and the very thing that could save their life is riding in the car behind you...the one you're blocking .

Oh Riv, methinks you are being a bit melodramatic. Messengers delivering life-saving organs like pizzas? OMG, bad policy...those organs should be transported with screaming sirens in the fire lane.

OK yes, sit on your horn at someone driving dangerously. But if you ask me, the majority of hornblowers blow their horns unnecessarily because it gives them a sense of power. Power to blow that "idiot" out of the way for driving at the legal speed limit. Oh, they are so big and bad behind the wheel but catch up with them at the light and they are like pussycats.

I have no doubt that some of those same impatient roadhogs end up in the hospital waiting for one of those organs in the cooler. Poetic justice!

I don't honk at pickup trucks here for the simple reason of the rednecks packing shotgun ratio being pretty high.

Wow PV, you were able to come to the conclusion that I am high strung due to my frustration with OTHER people not following the clearly marked traffic pattern... okay, if you say so?!?

Whether I'm right or wrong, that's just how I feel and operate. There is caution, then there is just plain stupid & slow. I never said that I was the one in the rush, but it helps with traffic flow when other people actually have somewhere to make it and are not sight-seeing, or unable to use their sight to see (i.e. the elderly). Just my honest opinion

I hear you guys, and I may be wrong here, I acknowledge that, but it has nothing to do with me being late. When I honk my horn, it for one of two reasons...

1) To prevent impact to my vehicle

2) To address poor driving skills

Whether I'm on time or not, if you f**k up, I will let you know te hee hee! I figure that with my method, people will at least be AWARE of what they are doing wrong and not hold up a gazillion other people next time. As long as I reach one person a day, I'm making the roads a better place [/sarcasm]

OK, so now you're backtracking. Whose quote is this?
Quote:
I am just used to being on the road with more aggressive drivers, who are always in a rush; but not here in Jax, no not here in Jax.
The problem with some drivers is simple: "I am the perfect driver, every other driver needs to learn to drive like me, let me show them what they are doing wrong"

Right apvbguy, it is exactly how the organs are delivered...my husband used to be the one doing the delivery, that's how I know .

That's my quote, and being on the road with more aggressive drivers does not conclude that I am one of them.

And its not about how I want them to drive, its how the signs ask them to drive.
