When is the new container terminal going to start operation? Is the Train track going to run into it? What kind of jobs are going to be created? Will everyone need to get a TWIC card to work down there or enter into it? I haven't heard much on the news about it except to show us about the new container cranes that came in. Where are people going to find out about the jobs?

It has partially already opened. About 6 months ahead of schedule. No full go, but they are already unloading containers. They are going to rework the rail, to what degree I dont know. Gradco probably knows more. That is all I really know, hope that helps a little. Good times for Jax are ahead.

Actually the first shipping containers should arrive today July 7th, and use Blount Island until, MOL Trapac site can be completed. Likely the Trapac site will get finished up around Jan.09.... not sure on employment requirements, but you can call Trapac human resources for details.

Took me a few months... matter of fact, I was never notified. I just checked online through the website and it said mine was ready.

When you do pick it up, if there is a line, leave. Go back later when there isn't. I (along with many, many others) waited in line for hours. Some waited the entired day (and never got it!). So I left.

I made an appointment, went back a week later and it still took longer than it should have.
